Ethiopia – wheat forecast increases

The USDA is forecasting that Ethiopia’s wheat production will increase by 8% in marketing year 2026/27 to 7m tonnes due to improved seed, cluster farming and mechanisation.
Australia – lamb slaughter falls
For week ending 27 March, lamb throughput fell 1.4% on the previous week to 415,541 head which, is a year-on-year decrease of 18.2%, Meat & Livestock Australia reports.
Brazil – fertiliser imports fall
In the first two months of this year, Pecuaria reports that fertiliser imports in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul fell by 57% to 7,710 tonnes.
