Argentina – export tax cut

Argentina’s government has reduced taxes on wheat and barley exports from 7.5% to 5.5% with effect from 3 June.

New Zealand – red meat value

A report commissioned by Beef+Lamb New Zealand puts the overall value of the industry to the economy at almost NZ$49bn (€25bn) and supporting 120,580 jobs.

Germany – co-op to stay independent

DCA report German dairy co-op Ammerland managing director, Ralf Hinrichs, saying that they are not interested in mergers or takeovers and want to remain independent unless there was an eligible company close by.
