Czechia – Zetor production ends
After 80 years, Zetor will stop making tractors in Czechia due to manufacturing costs and production will move to India.
China – chicken exports rise
The USDA reports that between January and May 2026, China’s exports of chicken increased by 51% to 546,000 tonnes. Production is forecast to increase in 2027 to 19m tonnes.
Brazil – JBS emissions
JBS – the world’s largest meat processor – has announced it is dropping its net zero emissions target for 2040 and focusing on efforts to reduce scope 1 and 2 emissions over which they have full control.
US – safeguard investigation
The United States trade representative has initiated a safeguard investigation to sheepmeat imports that could lead to an increase on import tariffs.
