Over €7,000/acre in

the Kingdom

A 45-acre residential property at Coom, Cordal, Castleisland, Co Kerry, sold at auction last week for an impressive €322,000.

Bidding opened on the day at €250,000, with three active bidders fighting it out for the property.

They drove the price up to €322,000, at which point the hammer dropped. The land is generally elevated and located in three main divisions.

Of the 45 acres, 15 acres would be described as poorer-quality ground, while the remaining 30 acres is good-quality ground. A range of old farm buildings are in place on the farmyard.

The property comes with a derelict residence, which would be a suitable site to construct a replacement dwelling house. The sale was handled by Brian O’Leary, Auctioneer, Killarney.

65 acres remains

unsold in Wexford

The bidding came on the lots with no interest on the day for the entire. However, the bids stopped some way short of the €10,000/acre guide price that was put on the property leaving the property, to be withdrawn unsold. The property remains unsold.
