Over the course of the past 18 months, Pöttinger has unveiled a huge amount of new kit. The Austrian manufacturer will be displaying a large selection of new grassland and tillage equipment at next week’s show including a new 10-rotor tedder, its new Jumbo forage wagon, its Impress variable chamber combi baler/wrapper unit and its Lion and Aerosem combination seed drill.

Tedder

Pöttinger will be exhibiting the newly unveiled 10-rotor linkage mounted tedder, namely the HIT V 11100. Featuring six swept tine arms on each 1.42m rotor contributing to a 10.7m working width, the unit has a short three-point headstock to place its centre of gravity close to the tractor.

With a pivoting headstock, the new unit is equipped with a ball eye and linkage rod combined with two hydraulic centring cylinders. The high centring force of the hydraulic cylinders is designed for smooth guidance of the 10 rotors without swaying. The company says each hydraulic cylinder is fitted with a nitrogen accumulator to cushion horizontal movements while an additional rubber buffer absorbs shocks.

Jumbo

Twenty-two years on from the initial launch of the Jumbo forage wagon, Pöttinger recently took the wraps off its third generation series. The fresh-look model was in development for over five years and plays host to a suite of new features. At a glance, these include the moveable front panel, a new driveline, a sloping floor, a bigger rotor and faster unloading times.
