6.5-acre field with super location in Kildare
A superbly located 6.5-acre field at Ballygoran, Maynooth, Co Kildare, has generated a steady level of interest over the past couple of weeks. Almost equidistant from Celbridge, Maynooth and Leixlip, the property is located close to the Intel premises and just a short distance away from the Maynooth town boundary.
Currently in grass, the field has no zoning and is being offered for sale as an agricultural property. It is guided in the region of €15,000/acre and will go under the hammer of REA Coonan Auctioneers, Maynooth and Celbridge, on 5 April next in the Glenroyal Hotel, Maynooth, at 3pm.
43-acre farm near Kilcock
On the same day, Coonan Auctioneers will also handle the sale of a 43-acre non-residential farm at Ballycahan, Kilcock, Co Kildare. Described by auctioneer Philip Byrne as the “best of land”, the farm is split by a cul de sac with the yard on 13 acres situated directly across from the remaining 30 acres.
In grass and stubble, the farm has good frontage to the cul de sac and to a public road and will be offered in its entirety or in two separate lots of circa 30 acres and the yard on circa 13 acres, respectively. The guide is €10,000/acre.
Talks continue for
Meath parcel
A 31-acre parcel of land at Pudden Hill, Garristown, Co Meath, was withdrawn at €250,000 at last week’s public auction. Selling agent Raymond Potterton Auctioneers, Navan, entered private negotiations after the auction but at the time of going to press, no deal had been concluded. The land, which is in tillage, commands lovely countryside views and was guided at €265,000 prior to auction.
Leased land
Auctioneer Joe Coogan, Castlecomer, leased a 131-acre farm at Knocknadogue, Castlecomer, Co Kilkenny, in three separate lots. The first lot comprising 75 acres was let for €187/acre to a farmer from Co Carlow. The same man also took the farm buildings at additional cost. A further lot of 38 acres was withdrawn at €220/acre but a deal was agreed afterwards for a higher figure while the remaining 18 acres went for €180/acre. The farm was leased for a six-year term.
