Property Network Sherry FitzGerald is gearing up for a major national land auction scheduled to take place next Thursday 14 April.

Co-ordinated by Shane Jennings, director of business development at Sherry FitzGerald Countrywide, and Des O’Malley, head of solutions platform, Limerick, one of the primary objectives of the event is to give Sherry FitzGerald members a national platform to establish themselves as market leaders in the sale of agricultural land.

The Sherry FitzGerald Group has 68 offices around the country and already has a major presence in a lot of counties.

A total of 12 lots will be on offer next week and these will be auctioned in four different locations across the country. These include the Horse & Jockey Hotel, Thurles, where Sherry FitzGerald Gleeson, Thurles, and Sherry FitzGerald O’Dwyer & Davern, Cashel, will auction a total of six lots.

Sherry FitzGerald Talbot, Nenagh, will offer two lots in its office at Kenyon Street, Nenagh, while Sherry FitzGerald Power & Walsh, Clonmel and Carrick-on-Suir, will auction a single lot in the Club House Hotel, Kilkenny.

The final three lots will be auctioned by Sherry FitzGerald Royal in Trim Castle Hotel. All auctions take place on 14 April and commence at 3pm.

Some of the properties for sale include a 77.5-acre farm located at Ballymaglasson, Batterstown; a 57-acre farm at Clonmore, Cashel; a 46-acre farm at Coolgrange, Gowran; a 33-acre parcel at Sallypark, Latteragh, Nenagh; and nine acres at Higginstown, Athboy. All properties are genuine agricultural sales (no distressed sales involved).

Cited as the first of many, a second Sherry FitzGerald auction is already pencilled in post-Ploughing Championships on 18 October next.

It’s envisaged that these multi-auctions are here to stay and will continue for the next number of years.
