An unusual sequence of events in Brussels brought a smile to The Dealer’s face. The day after MEP Luke “Ming” Flanagan published a detailed article on social media entitled 'We Need to Nail Hogan To The Wall,' European Commissioner for Agriculture Phil was presented with the Austrian order of merit for services to that country.
The Austrian agriculture minister described Hogan as a friend of the nation and committed to support for farming in areas of natural constraints. He also referred to the success of the trade deal with Japan and the opportunities it would create.

Hogan has earned praise from both big business and the Brussels farm lobby for his work on the Japan deal, but Ming certainly doesn’t seem to agree.
