The coming days will see a rush of farm auctions take place, ahead of a lull in August for holidays. Here are some of the more notable sales due to take place over this and next week.

Co Westmeath

Castlepollard

On Thursday 21 July James L Murtagh will auction 66ac Tromra farm at Castlepollard, Co Westmeath. The land is good quality and in one block and the house is in good condition with the guide price is in excess of €500,000.

Mullingar

James L Murtagh will offer 26.5ac residential farm at Newdown, The Downs, Mullingar Co Westmeath, at auction on Thursday 14 July. The land is good-quality and in one block. The house is in need of renovation and the guide price is €300,000.

Kilcock

Next week will likely be the busiest of the year for land auctions. On 20 July Coonan Property will auction 80ac of land with development potential at Newtownmoyaghy, Kilcock. One side of the holding abounds the Kilcock Environs development boundary. The guide price for this holding is excess of €17,500/ac.

Athlone

On Thursday 21 July, Quinn Property will auction 7ac at Ballykeeran, Athlone, Co Westmeath. The land overlooks scenic Lough Ree and the guide price is €150,000.

Ballynacargy

On Friday 22 July, Murtagh Bros will auction a 23ac residential holding in Ballynacargy, Co Westmeath. The property is on the end of the town’s main street the guide price is €350,000.

Co Longford

Kenagh

On Thursday 14 July, Raymond White Auctioneering will offer 50ac at Glenmore, Kenagh, Co Longford. This is good agricultural land in one block with road frontage and the guide price is in the region of €8,000/ac.

Co Tipperary

Fethard

On Friday 15 July James L Murtagh will auction the 72ac Cappa House near Fethard in Co Tipperary. The land is good quality and in one block and the house is in very good condition. The guide price is €1m for the entire but it will be offered in lots, too.

Co Meath

Longwood & Delvin

Earlier this week REA Thomas Potterton offered two farms at auction on Wednesday 13 July. The first was 49.5ac at Donore, Longwood, Co Meath. The second was 7.5ac at Addinstown, Delvin, Co Westmeath.

Co Carlow

Browneshill

On 20 July, REA Dawson will auction c50ac of good-quality land at Browneshill, Carlow. This holding is in one block and just 2.5km from Carlow town. Similar land selling in the range of €15,000/ac to €20,000/ac.

Co Laois

Durrow

On Friday 22 July, James L Murtagh will offer a 135ac farm at Tara and Cartron, Durrow in Co Laois. There is a residence and farmyard and an established sand and gravel quarry on this property and the guide price is €900,000.

Pike of Rushall

Also on Friday 22 July Pat Gannon will auction an 87.5ac farm at Mannin, Pike of Rushall, Co Laois. The farm is in a mix of tillage, grass and some forestry. The guide price is €880,000.

Co Kildare

Athy & Ballitore

Jordan Auctioneers will offer c220ac of land in Co Kildare in five lots. Two of the parcels are near Athy, the other Ballitore. All are good quality. The largest parcel of 91ac at Ballitore is guided at €13,188/ac. A parcel of 43ac at Athy with a yard is guided at €15,000/ac.

Co Wexford

Wells

Quinn Property will offer four holdings in Co Wexford by online auction next week. On Tuesday 19 the firm will auction 19ac at Ballyrea, Wells, Gorey. The land is in two divisions with road frontage. The guide price is €12,000/ac.

Ballykilty Lower

The firm will auction three properties on Wednesday 20 July. The largest is 81.07ac at Ballykilty Lower, Gorey. This farm has a derelict farmhouse and a farmyard and the guide is €6,000/ac.

Camolin

The second is 24.8ac at Clologue Upper, Camolin. The holding has a derelict house and the guide price for the entire is in the region of €400,000.

Inch

The third and smallest property is a 3.5ac holding at Scarnagh, Inch Gorey.
