Another Irish classic weekend and another one that belonged to Ger Lyons and Colin Keane. Having each secured their maiden classic success with Siskin in the Irish 2000 Guineas earlier this season, the pair quickly combined for a second with Even So, who stayed on strongly to win the Juddmonte Irish Oaks on Saturday.

The daughter of Camelot travelled well for Keane, and only had the favourite Cayenne Pepper to contend with inside the final furlong, where she pulled away to win by two lengths. In contrast to Siskin who was favourite, Even So was a 10/1 shot and Lyons admitted it was a lot easier to watch the race.
