Over 4,000 people attended the Ballinasloe Horse and Agricultural show on Sunday 24 September. The show returned to Ballinasloe Showgrounds after a two year absence. A great deal of effort and planning went into running the show.

Speaking after the event chairman John Harney said: “The support we got from the four corners of Ireland was unbelievable, we pondered the idea of changing the date to the second last Sunday in September and it worked extremely well.”

It was announced that next year’s show will be on Sunday 22 September 2019 in Ballinasloe Showgrounds.

The Ballinasloe Horse and Agricultural Show hosted their annual poultry and small animal display and sale last week. This display will take place again on Saturday 6 October, starting at 8am.

There will also be over 100 stalls selling everything from a needle to an anchor. Parking is available from 6am in the showgrounds. This is also the nearest car park to the fair green in Ballinasloe which hosts the Annual fair on these dates.
