Fine weather has brought farm folk with any claim to peat out in droves to foot turf.
Not only are there some old faces in the bog, but a few old tractors of a vintage that never saw the likes of a motor tax disc as well.
The Dealer has it on good authority that gardaí have been most active on the backroads of Roscommon, on the lookout for turf tractors without the necessary paperwork.
