Two grassland farms are on the market in Co Wexford, due to be sold by auction. One is at Kilcloran, near Camolin while the other is at Kilcavan/Cronellard, near Gorey. The agent handling the sale is Sherry Fitzgerald O’Leary Kinsella.

Kilcloran farm

The farm at Kilcloran is 24.89ac, situated on the edge of Camolin village. According to the auctioneer, it is on top-quality, free-draining tillage land.

The land is laid out in three fields with the two larger fields under stubble, while the smaller one is in grass. A stream flows through the land providing a natural water supply. Planning permission was previously granted for a cluster of five houses on this land but it has now lapsed.

The land has good road frontage on the Camolin to Ballyduff road with several access points.

It will be sold in a public auction on Wednesday 29 September at 3pm in the Ashdown Park Hotel, Gorey. The auction will also run online. The guide price on this farm is €300,000.

41ac at Kilcavan and Cronellard

The second farm being sold by the auctioneer is 41ac at Kilcavan and Cronellard. This is an executor sale. The farm will be offered at auction on 14 October in three lots as follows:

  • Lot 1 will be 14.8ac at Kilcavan, close to Tara Hill village. The property includes the farm sheds and farmyard.
  • The land at Kilcavan and Cronellard will be sold in three lots, two of which can be seen here.

  • Lot 2 will be 3.19ac in Tara Hill village. It adjoins the Tara Hill GAA complex.
  • Lot 3 will be 22.9ac located on a laneway coming of the Tara Hill to Ballymoney road.

The farm will go for auction on 14 October

Approximately 15ac of the land is in forestry, the balance is in grass. There is a small farm shed on this land. The guide price for this was not available at the time of going to prints.
