Among the events that will clash directly with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s midday nuptials are the Limousin Society’s Roscommon show and sale.
There is also a pedigree Angus, Shorthorn and Hereford show and sale in Carrick-on-Shannon, and a pedigree Hereford bull sale in Nenagh.

The main difference, of course, is that the ladies being paraded in the rings over here can legitimately have their pedigree discussed by the bystanders.
While there will be no Markle sparkle, there will be marvelling at the marbling. And I haven’t even mentioned Pippa Middleton.
