The trend of early year auctions continues in the southeast with a circa 65.4 acre holding in Co Wexford heading for auction on Friday 24 February.

The non-residential farm at Forestalstown, Clonroche, Enniscorthy, is an excellent holding containing top-quality agricultural land suitable to any farming enterprise. Currently the land is under maize stubble, potatoes and grass. The holding is fragmented and is available for sale in its entirety or in a number of lots.

The circa65.4 acres at Forestalstown, Clonroche, Enniscorthy, Co Wexford, is available in its entirety or in four Lots.

Lot 1 consists of circa 18.25 acres with sheds and yard. The farmyard has a useful range of sheds including two adjoining three-bay round-roofed silage pits with lean-tos on either side and a slurry pit. Access to the yard is via a short shared laneway. The land is to the rear of the yard and divided into three fields, one of which is accessed via a laneway.

Close by is Lot 2, circa 29.63 acres, split into three roadside fields. Slightly further away from the yard are Lot 3 and Lot 4. These comprise of individual fields of circa 5.44 acres and circa 12.08 acres respectively.

The online and public auction will be conducted in the auction room of Sherry Fitzgerald O’Leary Kinsella, Gorey, at 3pm on Friday 24 February.

Participants in the auction must register to bid with the auctioneers by Wednesday 22 February.

Given the quality of the land for sale, its fragmented nature and the level of farming activity within the county, there’s every chance this land could easily meet its guide price, which is in the region of €12,000 to €13,000/acre.
