A 112ac holding is on the market near Bilboa in Carlow. The property is at Clogrennane and is being sold by Maher Property Advisers by private treaty. The guide price is €560,000, which is the equivalent of €5,000/ac.

The holding, which is in one block, is unusual in that part of the lands were formerly Red Rock Quarry and about 30ac were quarried out. The quarry operated until 2007 and there is no Planning Permission or registration now for a quarry, the auctioneers say.

The holding includes 30ac of former quarry.

The other 82ac of the holding is in grass. It is accessed by a road that runs from the old quarry entrance. The grassland would benefit from some improvement and maintenance work, auctioneer Derry Maher said.

The lands are approximately 8km from Carlow town and are 15km from Bagenalstown. The lands are located on folios CW5036F & CW4091F.
