Unless previously sold, a circa 68 acre residential property at Rosskeeragh, Belturbet, Co Cavan, will go for auction on Thursday 1 December at 3pm in The Seven Horseshoes, Belturbet and online on the LSL platform.

On the books of Ballinagh-based auctioneer, Eamonn Gaffney, the lands are described as good-quality and are divided into a number of similar-sized fields. This farm is available in a number of lots or in its entirety.

Lot 1 includes 31.5 acres with a roadside residence that’s in need of repair. The bungalow could easily lend itself to aiding a planning permission submission.

A short distance away is Lot 2, which is 30 acres, and just across the road from it is Lot 3. Including a farmyard and 6.5 acres, it could easily be combined with Lot 2. Within the yard there is a four-bay single slatted shed, cubicle shed, cattle handling facilities and a range of other outbuildings.

While there is no set guide price, land in Cavan has generally been selling for in the region of €8,000 to €10,000/acre.
