Ballina auctioneers Fox & Gallagher have a guide price of €700,000 on 80ac of land, a farmhouse and farmyard in Co Sligo which will go for auction on Friday 4 June.

The holding is located at Rathlee and Caltra.

Unusually, the former dairy farm is made up of some 11 separate parcels of land although these parcels are in close proximity. The holding will be offered for auction in 12 lots.

Auctioneer Karl Fox said that the farm was successfully run as a dairy farm by the former owner. “Nine of the plots are of the highest-quality land that can be grazed all year round,” he said. “It is the ‘golden vale’ of this area.”

Farmhouse and farmyard

Many of the fields have lovely views of the sea. Three of them run down to the seashore.

The farmhouse has three bedrooms.

The three-bedroom house is about 200m from the seashore. The farmyard consists of a slatted house, a dairy parlour and multiple storage sheds.
