Quinn Property sold two properties via online auction recently. First up on 19 May was a circa 35ac holding at Ashwood, Arklow. Nine individuals registered to bid and four participated in the bidding on the day. The property had been guided at €8,000/ac. Bidding opened at €230,000 and the holding went on the market at €300,000. It was knocked down at €357,000 or €10,200/ac.
There was even keener competition the following day for a circa 27ac property with limited road frontage at Knockduff, Monageer, Co Wexford. Eleven individuals registered to take part with nine making bids.
Lot two at Knockduff, Monageer, Co Wexford, consisted of a cottage and 15ac. This made €240,000.

This property was offered in two lots, one of 11.8ac and the second of 15ac with a cottage. The entire was bid up to €400,000. The property then went on to sell in lots.
The 11.8ac was bought for €175,000 by a local dairy farmer. The 15ac was bought for €240,000 by a local business person with farming interests. The total selling price was €415,000 or just over €15,300/ac.
