Agri Aware has teamed up with top performance nutritionist Daniel Davey to host an Instagram live cooking series which will focus on preparing simple and healthy meals using ingredients from sustainable Irish farms.
The series titled “AgCredible eating essentials with Daniel Davey” will begin on Tuesday 2 February at 7pm.
Agri Aware chair Alan Jagoe said: “We would encourage anybody who is interested to start healthier habits in 2021 to tune in to this event.”
“The series will highlight to consumers that they can achieve a healthy and balanced diet using produce from all the food groups that are produced by Irish family farms and producers to the highest animal welfare standards.”
Davey, who has worked with a number of top athletes and teams such as Leinster Rugby and the Dublin senior football team, comes from a sheep farm in Sligo.
The conversation will include a discussion about Davey’s farming background, sustainable food production and the link between nutrition and performance.
“I am proud to have grown up on a small farm in the west of Ireland and to have been taught the values of good farming practice by my parents and grandparents,” Davey said.
“As a nutritionist I believe that farmers and the public should look after their long-term health by eating nourishing food and getting sufficient physical activity.”
The event will be hosted on the Agri Aware Instagram account and Daniel Davey will be joined by Alan Jagoe.
