Shares in agri-services firm Origin Enterprises and seed potato group Donegal Investment Group were the standout performers of the listed Irish agribusinesses over the last week. Shares in Origin have rallied a further 3% over recent days to touch off €5.90 in trading this week. Origin shares are still 8% down on where they started 2018.

Shares in Donegal Investment Group have risen 3% in the last week to €9.20. The group’s share price is now up 20% on where it started 2018. Glanbia plc shares are also up 2% in the week to €16.12.

In contrast, Aryzta shares continue to find new floors as prices fell a further 3% this week to €12.80. Aryzta shares are down more than 60% in the year to date. Greencore shares also endured a poor week, falling by 4% to £1.77 on the London stock exchange. Greencore shares are back over 20% since the start of 2018.
