IFA president Joe Healy has been appointed as a non-executive director to the board of FBD Holdings. Healy’s appointment as a non-executive director with FBD once again gives the IFA a seat on the board of the insurance company.
FBD Insurance has always invited the IFA president to sit on the board given the insurer’s farmer roots and the €5m in FBD shares held by the IFA.
Welcoming Healy to the board, FBD Holdings chair Liam Herlihy said that as well as bringing a general commercial experience to the board, the Galway native would also bring “considerable insights into Ireland’s agricultural industry, as well as a keen understanding of rural communities”.
