Bord Bia will host its week long Marketplace International event starting from Sunday 8 April. The event will take place in the RDS with 200 Irish food and drink companies and 600 international buyers from 40 different countries set to take part.
Bord Bia said this year’s International Marketplace event will be the largest ever international food buyer event hosted in Ireland, with an additional 100 international buyers taking part compared to last year.
“Marketplace International is a key opportunity for Irish food and drink companies to meet with international buyers one-on-one, and potentially diversify or build on their existing export markets,” said Tara McCarthy, chief executive of Bord Bia.

“It is one of our main platforms for showing international buyers firsthand what makes our products world-class. Initiatives like this have enabled the sustained growth of Irish food and drink exports over the past eight years,” she added.
Bord Bia said close to 5,000 pre-scheduled “speed-dating” style meetings have been arranged between Irish food and drinks companies and international buyers.
