Goweil has a name for manufacturing heavy-duty, quality machines, but at a higher price. Last week, the firm showed off its latest G-1 F125 baler/wrapper combi unit.
The pick-up is equipped with a pendulum suspension, creating a swing range of 150mm. Fitted with six tine bars, it has a tine spacing of 51mm and a 570mm diameter rotor. The chopping unit is fitted with 30 knives. The bale chamber has 18 rollers, each 4mm thick.
Aside from the heavy duty build of the unit, it offers some nice features. It comes standard with a net and film-binding unit. The machine has what Goweil is labelling a world’s first for round balers – a dual binding unit. This system wraps the finished bale simultaneously in two nets or wide films. It has the option of using the dual film-binding unit as a single binding unit, such as one net roll and with one roll of film.

A drive axle is also available as an optional extra. It’s designed for working on slopes. A sensor system integrated in the drawbar controls the three operating states – drive, neutral, and brake. This is controlled autonomously, meaning the driver doesn’t have to worry about turning it on or off. The drive is powered hydraulically by two radial piston/wheel hub engines. Weighing in at 8,980kg, it’s probably not a machine for working on soft ground.
