Aurivo may cancel milk supply contracts in cases where a supplier is convicted of a criminal offence that could “adversely affect the reputation, safety, regulatory standing or commercial interests of the co-op”, suppliers have been warned.

A letter dated late February informed Aurivo suppliers of the change and the co-op said that a suspension could take immediate effect and that any suspension would come on the back of a “reasonable opinion of the board”.

It was also stated that where the contracted supplier is a corporate entity, a contract suspension may arise from the criminal conviction of any person connected to the company.

Suppliers with queries regarding the changes have been advised that they can raise them with the processor.
