Aultside Meanmachine, owed by Garry Patterson, continued his run of form from last year's Stars of the Future Calf Show - where he was senior continental champion. The Wilodge Cerberus son is a full brother to Aultside Hulk, the 55,000gns topper at the society's May 2014 sale. Hulk was purchased that day by the Irish Ardea/Elite herd and has semen available.
Meanmachine oozed class and displayed extreme width throughout, becoming a firm favourite for many ringside spectators.
The judge on the day was Colin Philips, of the Powerhouse herd, and he found his reserve overall champion in Andrew Gammies' Westpit MacGregor. The youngest bull catalogued, this powerhouse is out of Ampertaine Gigilo, which makes him a half brother to the record-priced Limousin bull Trueman Jagger. MacGregor also comes with a strong show career, being reserve junior male champion at the stars of the future.
