There has been a massive lift in numbers in this part of the country in the last week. Demand is strong too, and while prices have not increased much for dairy-cross stock, there is demand for the numbers on offer. Demand for Friesian bull calves has taken a lift as well, with many good bulls making from €60 to €80/head and up to €100. Angus calves are selling from €120 to €150, with good strong Herefords making over €200. Store cattle are being met with strong demand also, with most Angus and Hereford stores selling from €2.00/kg to €2.10/kg and back to €1.09/kg at times for plainer types.
