The number of heavy heifers on offer remains low across the country. The main supply of heifers is from 400kg to 500kg. These types are selling mainly from €2.00/kg to €2.15/kg on average with U grade types making from €2.20/kg to €2.30/kg on average. Lesser quality types are making from €1.70/kg to €1.80/kg.

Special sales have boosted weanling numbers and demand continues to be strong from exporters and farmers. Good quality continental weanling bulls are seeing prices range mainly from prices of €2.15/kg to €2.30/kg for average quality stock is common. Where lesser quality types are on offer a more variable trade has been seen and prices of €2.00/kg to €2.15/kg are more common. The top third in terms of quality are making from €2.40/kg to €2.50/kg on average.
