Burren LIFE is a local agri environment scheme which covers 2,000ha and has four main principles of being farmer-led, results-based, flexible and local.
“Being shortlisted as one of the top 15 of all time is a really great acknowledgement of the project, the Burren and all the people involved, in particular the local farmers who put so much effort into the project over the years,” said manager of the Burren programme Dr Brendan Dunford.
