The Maxxum 145 Multicontroller tractor will be the highlight of the Case IH stand at the FTMTA Farm Machinery Show. The Case IH Maxxum 145 Multicontroller has been awarded the title of Tractor of the Year (TOTY) 2019 and Best Design 2019. The tractor was also awarded the title of Machine of the Year title for 2018 at the Agritechnica Show.

Launched last year alongside three smaller 116-135hp (rated) models, the highlights of the 145hp Maxxum 145 Multicontroller include its ActiveDrive 8, eight-step semi-powershift transmission and the Multicontroller armrest and joystick. These attributes were recognised by TOTY judges for aiding ease of operation and enhancing efficiency.

Maxxum tractors are also available with four-step powershift and continuously variable transmissions. The recent revisions to the Maxxum range have given the line a new look.

Complementing the existing ActiveDrive 4 four-step semi-powershift and CVXDrive continuously variable transmissions, the key development on the new Maxxum Multicontroller range is the ActiveDrive 8 three-range/eight-step semi-powershift. The transmission and many other tractor operating functions can be controlled through the Multicontroller armrest and joystick.

The TOTY award builds on the Maxxum 145 Multicontroller’s previous achievements, including the lowest average specific fuel consumption recorded in the Field Work section of the PowerMix test conducted by Germany’s DLG testing station.

Farmlift telescopic loader capability and specification boosted

The most popular machines in the Case IH Farmlift line of telescopic loaders gain a number of new features for 2019. Case IH will feature the latest models at the FTMTA Farm Machinery Show.

Lift capacities have been increased on key models. Maximum load capacity on the two models with 6m maximum lift height has been increased by 100kg. Farmlift 633 now has a maximum lift capacity of 3,300kg, and the 636 3,600kg. The 7m lift height Farmlift 737 has an additional 200kg lift capacity, with a maximum capacity of 3,700kg.

The 7m/4,200kg Farmlift 742 and the 9.1m/3,500kg Farmlift 935 remain unchanged in terms of lift capacity, while the full range benefits from a number of other upgrades, key among them being a new transmission offering, designed to help buyers specify the system best suited to their workload. Farmlift 633, 737 and 935 models are equipped as standard with a four forward/three reverse transmission system with manual shifting. As an option they can be specified with a six forward/three reverse semi-automatic transmission. Both transmissions are capable of a maximum 34km/h top speed.

Reverse transmission

Standard on the 636 and 742 models is a six forward/three reverse transmission, which is fully automatic through the forward speeds. These models also benefit from 40km/h top speed. Other new features on the revised Farmlift models include a number of upgrades to improve driver comfort. In the cab, driver comfort is enhanced by a new seat option, available on all models, that is heated and pneumatically cushioned. A tilting and telescopic steering column is fitted as standard on the Farmlift 636 and 742 models.
