Bullocks from 500kg to 600kg are selling from €2.15/kg to €2.25/kg for average quality types. Lighter stores have not seen prices dip to the same extent and remain reasonably firm. Bullocks from 400kg to 500kg are selling mainly from €2.20/kg to €2.45/kg on average with U grades selling from €2.50/kg to €2.70/kg.
Forward heifer prices have steadied again. Types from 500kg to 600kg are selling from €2.20/kg to €2.40/kg for average quality lots. The top third in terms of quality are selling from €2.45/kg to €2.55/kg on average. Heifers from 400kg to 500kg are selling from €2.20/kg to €2.40/kg for average quality types.

The weanling heifer trade remains firm, although some have commented of a slight weakening of prices for bulls in the past few days, particularly for plainer lots. Bulls from 300kg to 400kg are selling mainly from €2.45/kg to €2.60/kg while the top third in terms of quality continue to make €2.80/kg to €3.00/kg. Lighter bulls from 200kg to 300kg are selling from €2.65/kg to €2.80/kg on average.
