The Bank of Ireland/NISA pedigree beef junior bull championships took place at the Fermanagh Show in Enniskillen on Wednesday with 10 pre-qualified bulls fighting it out for the overall title.
Tasked with judging the main class was renowned breeder William Smith of the Milbrook herd based in Oldcastle, Co Meath. He found his overall champion in the form of the Charolais bull Killadeas Orlando.
Brought out by S and D Bothwell, this May 2018-born bull was sired by the 11,000gns Battleford Lazor and out of the homebred Killadeas Faitfull. This bull is backed by a stellar show record having taken the male championship at the Charolais nationals last week in Clogher Valley and the junior male breed championship at this year's Balmoral Show.
