The majority of co-ops have held prices for December supplies of milk.

Lakeland Dairies announced that it would be holding its December milk price at 34.62c/l excluding VAT.

Kerry, Arrabawn, Aurivo and Dairygold all held their December prices, at 34.62c/l, 35.1c/l, 34.62c/l and 34.15c/l, all excluding VAT.

Glanbia held its milk price, at 33.20c/l excluding VAT and introduced a top-up payment of 1.05c/l also excluding VAT for all milk supplied between July and December 2017.

Meanwhile, at Tuesday’s Global Dairy Trade auction, overall prices increased by 4.9%. SMP prices increased by 6.5%, WMP increased by 5.1% and butter went up 8.8%.
