The Country in the Kingdom returns in style to The Gleneagle Hotel in Killarney this weekend, when patrons can enjoy a feast of dancing over three nights. The venture is once again being coordinated by Billy Morrissey.

Corkman Finbarr Dennehy will launch the celebrations at 9pm on Friday evening, 29 June, with Patrick Feeney and his band providing a grand selection of music from 11pm until 1am.

Revellers can look forward to some great music at the Saturday night jamboree. The show will feature Mick Flavin, Trudi Lalor, Dermot and Sinead Moriarty and The Ryan Turner Band.

A special treat for patrons at the Saturday night dance will be a guest appearance by Max T Barnes from Nashville, who is spending the next two months in Ireland. He was recently presented by BMI with a special award commemorating airplays in excess of one million in the USA for three of his songs.

The weekend draws to a close on Sunday night, with performances from the Michael Collins Band, Patrick O’Sullivan, and Gerry Guthrie and his band.

Special weekend packages are also available. For info, call the hotel on 064-6671550.
