The first of two cases being taken by former IFA general secretary Pat Smith against the organisation is listed to be heard in the High Court on Tuesday 27 February.
Unless the two parties reach a settlement before Tuesday, Smith’s first case will seek an order from the High Court that the IFA pays him €2m, in line with an alleged November 2015 agreement with then IFA president Eddie Downey.
In the second case, Smith alleges he was defamed by the association.
