A large 132-acre block located at Ballyshonin, Berrings, Co Cork has recently come on the market and will be offered for public auction in the coming weeks. The farm is laid out in one block and is currently under grassland.

The farm has been leased out or used extensively in parts, for the past number of years. Of the entire, approximately 20-30 acres have become overgrown and would be in need of reclamation and clearing of scrub.

Adjoining farms are generally dairy or tillage operations and this farm would be suitable for either of these enterprises.

The farm will be sold in the entire and is being guided between €1.3m and €1.5m or between €10,000/ac and €12,000/ac

The farm is south-facing for the majority and comes with a large amount of road frontage on two sides of the block.

The farm will be sold in the entire and is being guided between €1.3m and €1.5m or between €10,000/ac and €12,000/ac. While local interest is expected in the property due to the size of the block, it may appeal to farmers further afield also.

Both water and power are available on the farm but investment would be needed when it comes to fencing and roadways in particular if a dairy enterprise was to be developed.

The public auction will take place at 3pm on Friday 16 August at the Oriel House in Ballincollig, Co Cork.

The sale is being handled by Daniel Fleming Auctioneers Ltd.
