The Teagasc/Irish Farmers Journal BETTER beef programme which has over 30 farmers all around Ireland receiving technical advice from deicated advisers.
ABP are also involved in the The Teagasc/ABP Dairy Beef Programme. The aim of this project is identify most suitable beef bull genetics for crossing on dairy herd. ABP also have a R&D farm in Clonegal, Co Carlow which carries out important work on genetics alongside the ICBF (Irish Cattle Breeding Federation). This is also ABP’s biggest blade farming operation in Ireland.
