Stephen Blewitt, the head of dairy at Aurivo is to leave the co-op.

Blewitt joined the co-op in 2006 and was promoted to head of agribusiness in 2016 and then head of dairy at Aurivo in 2018.

Blewitt will remain at the co-op until the end of November before he is expected to take up a new in the public sector.

Change

His decision to leave the co-op comes at a time of major change, with outgoing CEO Donal Tierney retiring at the end of November.

It comes on the back of an aborted merger with Dale Farm co-op.

JP McGrath was announced as his replacement last week. McGrath had a short stint as chief finance officer at Dairygold which he left at the end of November 2025.
