Dairygold CEO Michael Harte has been appointed chair of Dairy Industry Ireland (DII), the body that represents milk processors and the specialised nutrition sector.

Harte was appointed for a two-year term. He replaces Pat Sheahan, former CEO of North Cork Creameries.

Harte was appointed CEO of Dairygold in July 2024 and has been with the company since 1989.
