Dairygold co-op will make a weather and fodder-related payment to farmers.

The Dairygold base price for March milk has been cut by 2c/l to 30.36c/l excluding VAT. This includes a 0.5c/l quality payment.

A special weather-related payment will also go out to suppliers, worth 2c/l plus VAT. This is for all March milk and is in response to challenges faced by producers.

Dairygold is the fifth processor to announce its March milk price. Earlier on Tuesday Kerry cut its base milk price by 2c/l but announced an extra payment for January, February and March milk supplies.
