The planting deadline for catch crops for GLAS has been extended until 30 September 2017.

A statement from the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine said the deadline has been changed due to recent weather.

“Given the very awkward weather conditions for clearing grain fields this autumn, the planting deadline for catch crops for GLAS has been extended until 30 September 2017,” the statement confirmed.

The basic rules for the establishment of catch crops remain in accordance with GLAS specifications.

The original deadline was 15 September 2017.

This is the second year that the planting deadline has had to be pushed out due to weather difficulties.
