Ballymaloe Litfest 2017
19-21 May: The Food and Drinks Literacy Festival at Ballymaloe promises a weekend filled with fascinating facts, inspirational stories, intriguing discussions, incredible knowledge, fantastic music, fabulous dancing and – of course – delicious food and drink. It is the only festival of its kind in Ireland and has created an important hub for food and drinks enthusiasts worldwide to meet and share ideas with each other. Sheep’s Head Yarn Festival 2017
20-21 May: After many years of living in West Cork and hearing stories of “Knit & Stitch” shows across Ireland and the UK, a small team of yarn crafters from the Sheep’s Head Producers Market got together to see what they could organise for the people of West Cork. Workshops will take place in café’s, pubs and BnBs along the Sheep’s Head Peninsula, from Durrus to Letterwest, encouraging visitors to see as much of the beautiful scenery as possible while travelling to their next workshop. 26 May: Based on the record-breaking book series, a family road trip to attend Meemaw’s 90th birthday party goes off course, thanks to Greg’s newest scheme to become famous. The film, based on Jeff Kinney’s series of books, is a light hearted comedy that the whole family can enjoy. The main character, Greg Heffley, is played by Jason Ian Drucker in what promises to be laugh-a-minute entertainment for the whole family.
