Northern Ireland Claas dealer Erwin Agri-Care Ltd recently acquired fellow Claas dealer Ashfield and Wilson Ltd. The full Greenline dealer with existing depots in Crumlin, Co Antrim, and Limavady, Co Derry, now moves into the premises of the well-established dealership Ashfield and Wilson located in Dungannon, Co Tyrone.

The deal means that Erwin-Agri Care has now become a three-branch dealership serving all six NI counties and Donegal. Erwin-Agri Care is a family-run business with over 50 years’ experience in the trade.

For the most part, things will go unchanged. However, Claas said that Erwin will now trade with two brands, Ashfield and Wilson from Dungannon and Erwin from its existing Crumlin and Limavady depots. The Ashfield and Wilson branch will specialise in Claas tractors and machinery alongside its other franchises of Tanco, Fleming and Husqvarna.

Robert Murphy has been appointed as the new service manager, having been employed with Erwin since 2020. After-sales director Gary Curlow and managing director Michael Erwin will carry overall responsibility for the business.

Trevor Tyrrell, senior vice president of Claas said, “CLAAS are delighted that two family owned Dealers have come together, to form one large dealership covering all of Northern Ireland from three branches at Crumlin, Limavady and Dungannon. This creates a very efficient dealer structure that will give customers first class Sales and After-Sales support across Northern Ireland for the full line of CLAAS products.
