As expectations rise for the Agri Careers Expo on 14 February in the RDS, numerous exhibitors have been confirmed already for the event. With exhibitors recruiting on the day across various areas, including accounting and finance, health and safety, commercial specialists, HR, sales, support engineers and apprenticeships to name but a few, we profile four who will be in attendance, and what they will be offering.

Agritech

Agritech is a family owned business that manufactures and supplies a range of quality forage and nutritional products for livestock farmers in Ireland. It makes a wide range of products, including grass seed, feed additives and mineral supplements. In addition, it invests in on-going research, product development and manufacturing technology.

The company is currently recruiting in two main sectors, which include full-time sales advisers and distributors. The positions will be located in south Cork, Dublin, Louth, Meath, Donegal and across Northern Ireland.

Aurivo

Aurivo is a global front-runner in agribusiness with a diverse business portfolio in four distinct divisions: consumer foods, dairy ingredients, agribusiness and livestock marts. Its consumer foods business comprises of a range of milk, butter and nutrition brands, such as Connacht Gold, while the dairy ingredients operation produces and exports enriched milk powders and bulk butters. In addition, it is a growing agribusiness, which includes 34 homeland retail stores and garden centres, an animal feed business and four livestock marts.

Leading one of agri foods most sought-after graduate programmes, the Leadership Development Programme will be recruiting four graduate applications at the Agri Careers Expo, as well as two trainee farm commercial specialists and two trainee managers on the agri side of the business.

Dawn meats

Dawn Meats is one of Europe’s leading food processors, producing quality Irish beef and lamb products.

Dawn Meats exports to over 50 countries globally and is the supplier of choice to a range of leading supermarkets, food service and restaurant businesses.

Its Brighter Futures Graduate Programme aims to take on 35 graduates this year and applications close at the end of February, meaning the Expo will provide the perfect opportunity for Dawn Meats to scout the best talent available at the event.

The roles available include accounting and finance, agriculture and livestock procurement, engineering, food safety and quality, health, safety and environmental, human resources, new product development, production and operations, sales and commercial.

McHale

McHale is a family run business that develops and manufactures specialist farm machinery, focusing on balers and bale wrappers. Over 90% of the machines produced are destined for the export market and McHale balers and bale wrappers can be found working in 56 countries around the world. Two-hundred-and-fifty people are employed at the headquarters in Mayo and the company will have 35 positions available for the Agri Careers Expo, including press break operators, welders, fitters, mechanical design engineers, quality engineers, electronic engineers, software developers, human resource managers, product support engineers, market support engineers and five OEM apprenticeships.
