Curzon Livestock continues to buy stock for its next shipment to Libya. The contract is for Friesian bulls of 300kg and Friesian bulls of 500kg. The consignment is due to be loaded in the first week of January.
The export firm has also been buying Jersey and Jersey-cross bulls for a north African customer. The contract is for 400 bulls in the weight range of 300kg to 400kg. On arrival, the bulls will be sold on to farms for further feeding.
Bad weather has delayed the arrival of a boat to bring Purcell Brothers’ consignment of up to 2,500 Friesian bulls to Libya. Loading is now scheduled to take place at the very end of December.

Meanwhile, both export firms are receiving plenty of enquiries about further deliveries and are hopeful of firming up contracts in 2020.
