McCarthy is a founding partner and head of audit at accounting firm Hughes Blake, which has a unique focus on serving entrepreneurial owner-managed and family-owned businesses. Kieran qualified as a certified public accountant in 1995, became a fellow of the Institute of Taxation of Ireland in 1998 and published his first book, Family Business - A Survival Guide, in 2014.
