There will be a number of classes for Charollais breeders on the day from male shearlings upwards. The Charollais ram and ram lamb classes are expected to have stiff competition and both classes are sponsored by Osmonds Animal Health. In the female Charollais sheep section, there will be classes for shearling and upwards, Charollais ewe and pair of pedigree Charollais ewe lambs. The pairs competition usually attracts lots of interest. Dolan Farm Supplies, Athlone, sponsor the female classes. The finale of the section is the FRS-sponsored National Livestock Show Charollais Champion of 2014.
In addition, the society have sponsored a pair of Charollais cross hogget ewes for the Heifer and Hogget competition. They were bred in Wexford by the Kelso family.
