Paul Brady
16 March: An evening with Paul Brady takes place in St Canice’s Cathedral, Co Kilkenny, on 16 March at 7pm. Paul Brady is one of Ireland’s most highly regarded and successful artists. His music incorporates folk, rock, blues, traditional Irish and classic pop styles. His live performances, whether solo or with full band, include songs from his extensive collection of 40 years. Aslan
18 March: Hugely popular Irish band Aslan will perform in The Big Top in Co Limerick this Saturday night. The Dublin band formed in 1982 and since then they have gone on to gain a loyal fanbase as well as playing sellout shows across Ireland and the UK. In 1998 the band produced a double platinum-selling album Shame about Lucy Moonhead, and have built on their success since then. In 2013, band frontman Christy Dignam was diagnosed with cancer and the band stopped preforming. However, after receiving news that Christy’s treatment is working, the band have decided to get back to preforming. Tickets cost €24.90

18 March: Pat Shortt bring his new show, selfie, to the Charleville Park Hotel, Co Cork, next Saturday. The much-loved Irish funny man brings a host of new characters, including the undertaker Mossey Burke, as he recounts his favourite funeral – a funeral that was nearly the death of him and changed his life forever. Get ready to sing and laugh along to a show that has been described as “a first-class show from the moment we stepped through the door”. Tickets are on sale for €31.20.
The Woman in Black
13 to 18 March: The Woman in Black runs in the Gaiety Theatre from the 13 to 18 of March. The gripping exploration of terror has been thrilling audiences of all ages with it unique blend of suspense, drama and stagecraft. The show is celebrating 25 years in the West End and it is in Dublin this week to entertain Irish audiences. The show has been very popular among critics throughout the UK and Ireland, with The Guardian calling it “a masterpiece”, while the Daily Telegraph describes it as a “brilliantly effective spine-chiller”. Beauty and the Beast
17 March: Don’t miss this adaptation of the Disney fairytale about a monstrous-looking prince and a young woman who fall in love. The adaptation of the classic features Hollywood star Emma Watson as well as Dan Stevens and Luke Evans. The fantastic journey follows Belle, a bright, beautiful and independent young woman, who is taken prisoner by a beast in his castle. Despite her fears, she befriends the castle’s enchanted staff and learns to look beyond the Beast’s hideous exterior and realise the kind heart and soul of the true prince within.
