Shawn Cuddy will host his annual weekend get-together in the Great Northern Hotel in Bundoran from 1-5 May. Joining him for the celebrations will be Michael English and band, Thomas Maguire and Fhiona Ennis, Phil Begley, Seamus Magee, Gary Gamble, Curtis Magee, Hugo Duncan, Lee Matthews and Trevor Loughrey.

Mike Denver recorded his new Live in Concert video in the Royal Theatre in Castlebar last week. The show also marked the conclusion of his current Irish tour. His guests on the show included Ray Lynam and Phil Begley, Johnny McEvoy, John Hogan and Marc Roberts.

Tom Quinn will launch his 12-track compilation album in Julian’s of Midfield, Swinford, on Saturday 18 April. Tom lived in Birmingham for many years before recently returning to his native Mayo. Kevin Prendergast, Jimmy Hynes, Michael Fox, Peter Wall and Carmel Quinn will join Tom on the night. The proceeds are in support of the Roisin Tansey Fund. Roisin, a six-year-old from Killasser, Co Mayo, is currently undergoing specialised medical treatment in Kentucky.

New Way to Light Up an Old Flame is the latest single from Jimmy Buckley. It was recorded in Granard and produced by Jonathan Owens. The song was previously covered by Mick Flavin.

Sunday night social dancing is back at the Celbridge Manor Hotel, Co Kildare. Pat Jordan and Finian’s Rainbow, on tour from Manchester, provide the music on Sunday 12 April. They will be supported by Colm Burke.

Patricia Maguire hails from Tyrone and has just released her new single, Everybody’s Got Somebody. It was recorded and produced by James Mullen at Fast Trax Studios in Convoy, Co Donegal.

Kathy Crinion continues to make new inroads in to the country music scene. She was the recipient of accolades from both Country Sound (Farmers Journal) and the Leinster Entertainment in the space of three weeks. The Meath lady is in the process of recording a new album.
