Forestry Minister Tom Hayes has launched the 27th edition of the Forestry and Timber Yearbook. “The yearbook is one of the most important sources of information and reference points for those working in the forestry and timber sectors in Ireland today,” Hayes said of the book. It has been a big year for the sector. Budget 2016 removed the upper tax-free income limit of €80,000, meaning that forestry farmers can now clear-fell tax-free from 2016.
The editor of the yearbook is Irish Farmers Journal forestry editor Donal Magner. See www.forestryyearbook.ie.
